Peter Zekert: Automotive Training Specialist

Peter Zekert is an experienced Automotive New Product Trainer having contracted for Audi, Corvette, Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep, GMC, Mercedes, MINI, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Peter began in the automotive training industry in 1999, working for Skip Barber Special Projects and later for Dodge-Chrysler. One of his first assignments included an exhibition of precision stunt driving skills. He drove a full sized Dodge Ram 1500, from backstage, through a tear away movie screen and into the main arena, delivering the keynote speaker onto the stage.

In the past decade, Peter has participated in every phase of automotive product training programs, including Pro-driver and Lead Instructor roles. Now primarily a facilitator, Zekert considers himself an expert in communication within the automotive field. He is aware of the diverse technical backgrounds of today's auto sales professionals. Peter structures his training sessions so that all, from novice to expert, learn about technical aspects of new vehicles in a casual atmosphere.

In addition to industry Ride & Drive and In-Dealer programs, Peter is one of the few automotive facilitators who is also an automotive race engineer, race driver and accomplished stunt driver. When not working on auto manufacturer's contracts, Peter instructs high threat driver training to groups such as the US State Department and US Special Forces soldiers.

Peter brings a strong education background to training. As a college professor, Peter taught a variety of subjects (mathematics, statistics and logic) to a diverse audience. His daytime students were typically traditional college age students. His evening classes consisted mostly of working adults returning to complete associates and bachelors degrees. Regardless of age or background, Peter attempts to connect with each and every student.
